Quinorgan presents SINTRA at Lineapelle
The Next-Generation Reinforcement for Footwear: Powder Sintering Technology
Quinorgan will present SINTRA, its powder sintering technology for footwear reinforcement, at the latest edition of Lineapelle, the leading international trade fair for footwear materials, taking place in Milan from September 15 to 17.
The evolution of reinforcement for footwear
SINTRA is built on a single principle: the ‘net’ concept, no waste, zero residue. Instead of die-cutting and shaping toe caps and heel counters from traditional sheets manufactured using technologies such as extrusion or impregnation, SINTRA is produced directly from sintered thermoplastic powder.
The result is ready-made reinforcements with their shape, thickness and specifications already defined. Every gram counts: there is no waste, neither from cutting nor trimming, which means a significant reduction in the material used in the production of toe caps and heel counters compared to the traditional sheet-based reinforcement process.
Precision, performance and sustainability
At the core of the Sintra range is a compressed thermoplastic powder material containing up to 50% recycled raw material. A clean, waste-free solution that requires only insertion and moulding, with no need for die-cutting, whilst maintaining the reinforcements’ performance.
Key benefits:
- Zero waste and 100% recyclable
- Superior moulding performance, with excellent resilience, shape retention and adhesion properties.
- Design flexibility, with quick and easy changes to shape and hardness.
- Low operating temperatures, ideal for heat-sensitive materials.
- Wide compatibility with all mounting systems.
